What you type

Every search runs in your browser. The letters, words and grids you type are never sent to us or anyone else. They appear in the page address after the # sign so you can share or bookmark a search; that part of the address is not sent to any server, and we remove it from anything sent to analytics.

Analytics cookies

If you click Accept, we load Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to count visits and see which pages and tools are used. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_RTFRHM5BS4, which last up to 2 years. Until you accept, Google's script is not loaded at all. If you click Reject, nothing is loaded and any earlier Analytics cookies are deleted. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

What we send: the page address without the # part, the page it came from without its query, and a count when you first use a tool on a page. No letters, no words, no personal details. No advertising cookies are used.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect the site.
