What makes it different

• Everything runs in your browser. The word list loads once, then every search happens on your device, as you type. Nothing you type is sent to us.
• No sign up, no account. Every tool is free to use.
• One engine, three languages. The same tools work with an English, a French and a Dutch word list.

Where the words come from

English uses the ENABLE word list (168,406 words), French the Grammalecte lexicon (407,828 words) and Dutch the OpenTaal list (299,824 words). These are free, openly licensed lists. They are not the official tournament dictionaries of any game, so the pages never claim a word is "valid in" a game. The full details and licences are on the sources page.

How points and rules are checked

Letter values are only shown when two published sources agree, or when the game publishes them itself. Where sources disagree, points are left out rather than guessed: that is why the Dutch Scrabble pages show no points. Game rules on the pages, such as minimum word lengths, come from published sources too.
